Hi Bob, [Miller]
Yes, I remember Norm Utterback, he racked in the same aft compartment
as I did. Attached is a photo with Norm in it. The dinner party was
hosted by some Hong Kong tailor hoping to reap much business from
us. That's Norm, first drunk on the left. There's eight of us, from
the Tucker, at the table, going clockwise from Norm are a couple
Chinese guys, then three shipmates who I've forgotten their names.
After the next (standing) chinese guy is Hale (last name), myself and
Poteet (last name) in civies. I was a SOGSN at the time and Poteet
was a SOG3. The last mate, at the table, was the most lovable
boatswain's mate you could ever meet. I can't remember his name but
everyone called him "Big Time".

Sunday cook out aboard ship May 1965	Unknown shipmate. Who is this, picture was taken in Beppu or Kobe Japan '62	Paul writes: This is Gunners Fry [J.H. Frey, GMG3 62] on one of the 3" gun mounts and this was taken before we went to the US for FRAM and this girl was one of many people that visited the ship and she was on the ship at the same time as the person in the picture of the unknown shipmate. it was in 1962 when this picture was taken.
